The proxy server serves to optimize access to the Internet. It provides users of the university network with access to WWW and FTP resources and regulates the load on the external channels of the university.
The proxy server is also used to monitor compliance with the rules for using the Internet, approved by the order of the rector. For violation of the rules, penalties are provided in the form of deprivation of the right of access to external resources for a period of one month.
